Ribbon Repair

Ribbon microphones are well known for their smooth sound. They are very fast in picking up the sound waves and give a warm natural sound. But the ribbon itself is very, very fragile and made out of thin aluminum. So what to do if you need a new ribbon. Look at the pictures and see my work!

A rare Telefunken Ela M 25b ribbon mic from the 1930ies with a broken ribbon. I produced a new ribbon, replaced it, adjusted the tension, and it sounded great again.
