Custom Harp Mics

A good friend and great harp player, Frank B., wanted a custom built Astatic JT 30 in chrome. Here is the result.

This is a modified Astatic JT 30 VC in custom sparkling red for Mike T.

Here is custom built Astatic model 200 in chrome and XLR output for a german harp player (Thomas E.) with a hot Shure R5, brand new (NOS).

Matt W., an Irish blues harp player, asked me to customize his Mexico Shure 520 DX microphone with an 1-pin Amphenol socket. Because of the volume control, too much body work was necessary, it needed repainting. The colour was his choice, not mine. Hey Matt, ready to rock!!

I have a lot of requests for cable and connector modification. Here is an old Shure 707A grey bullet. The owner wanted a 1-pin Amphenol socket. This way it makes it much easier to change the mic when you are on stage.

A modified Turner model 254 C ham radio mic. The base is cut and the fin is smaler, but still there. I attached a 1-pin Amphenol socket and gave it a green bullet look.
